House Renovation | Blue Mountains, NSW | Project Status: Completed

70s style architectural hand drawing

Original House Drawing

The design aims to keep the unique character and charm of 1970's house, pinpointing areas for intervention to infuse with contemporary flair and better suit the client’s functionality needs.

The renovation works included an old garage/laundry converted to a B&B (Mountain Sojourn) space and a new bathroom, kitchen, powder room for the main house with small changes to dining/living areas. Glass bricks, exposed Meranti Maple hardwood for frames/skirting and dark laminate flooring and carpet help ground the building to its past and frame modern wall finishes, fixtures and furniture. The renovation is carbon neutral with 100% of electricity from solar and battery storage and water from rain water tank.
